About Phu Quoc

Do I need a visa for Vietnam?
Many nationalities enjoy visa-free entry for 15-45 days. Citizens of the US, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, and many other countries can apply for an e-visa online ($25, 90 days, multiple entry). Always check the latest requirements for your specific passport before traveling.
When is the best time to visit Phu Quoc?
The dry season (November-April) offers the best beach weather. Peak months are December-February. For the best value, aim for November or March-April. The rainy season (May-October) has lower prices and fewer tourists -- rains are usually short afternoon showers. Read our seasonal guide for more detail.
Is Phu Quoc safe for tourists?
Phu Quoc is considered one of the safest resort islands in Southeast Asia. Crime rates are very low and locals are welcoming. Standard precautions apply: keep valuables secure on the beach and drive carefully on a motorbike.

Questions We Get Asked Less Often (But Are Good to Know)

Can I receive mail or packages at the homestay?
Yes. Long-term guests can receive mail and packages at our address: 16 Nguyen Du Street, Duong Dong, Phu Quoc, Kien Giang, Vietnam. Please include your name and our homestay name on the shipping label. We will hold packages securely for you.
Is there a coworking space on Phu Quoc?
Dedicated coworking spaces on Phu Quoc are still limited compared to places like Bali or Chiang Mai. However, several cafes in Duong Dong have reliable WiFi and welcome laptop workers. Our Long-Term Rental rooms are specifically designed as productive workspaces with dedicated desks and 100 Mbps WiFi, which most nomads find more comfortable than a cafe.
How do I get a Vietnamese SIM card?
SIM cards from Viettel, Mobifone, or Vinaphone are available at shops near the airport and throughout Duong Dong. A tourist SIM with 5-10 GB of data costs $5-10 and works across all of Vietnam. Our host can direct you to the nearest shop and help with setup if needed.
