While not mandatory, we strongly advise all guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance before arriving on Phu Quoc. Medical facilities on the island are adequate for basic treatment, but serious medical conditions may require evacuation to Ho Chi Minh City. Travel insurance that covers medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and motorbike use provides essential peace of mind. Can I smoke anywhere on the property?
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas -- specifically the garden seating area away from other guests' rooms. Smoking inside any room will incur a deep-cleaning fee of $50. E-cigarettes and vapes follow the same rules as traditional cigarettes.
Is there a security deposit?
No. We do not require a security deposit for any room type. We trust our guests and have never had a situation that required one. Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Can I have visitors who are not staying at the homestay?
Day visitors are welcome in the common areas (garden, kitchen, pool) if approved by the host. Please let us know in advance. Overnight guests who are not registered are not permitted, as all overnight visitors must be registered with local authorities per Vietnamese law.
What happens if I lose my room key?
Contact the host immediately via WhatsApp and we will provide a replacement. There is a small fee of $5 for lost keys to cover the cost of recutting. We recommend keeping your key on a lanyard or in a designated pocket.
What if I need to cancel my booking at the last minute?
Cancellations less than 3 days before check-in result in 50% of the deposit being retained. We understand that plans change, and in cases of genuine emergencies (documented illness, flight cancellations), we will work with you to find a fair solution, such as rescheduling your dates.
